Hampshire Art for Recreation and Therapy has merged with Coda Music Trust, to become Coda Music and Arts Trust

For some time, hArt and Coda Music Trust have been working closely together, nurturing a partnership and sharing both premises and common aims.

The two charities have now joined forces, merging in order to reach more people and better support them by providing further opportunities to engage in, and benefit from, the arts and music at a time when it is most in need.

The merger between our two creative charities will see hArt become part of Coda Music and Arts Trust and facilitates an expansion of Coda’s objectives and activities beyond music to embrace a broader range of artistic and creative services.

Coda Music and Arts Trust will seek to address inequality in our community by providing universal access to the arts, music and creativity and continuing to devise and deliver innovative education and health programmes which positively impact the lives of local people.

hArt's work will be central to Coda's developing health and well being programme and our Arts on Prescription, Creative Well Being, and Art Therapy services will continue unchanged. We are excited about our future together and hope you will join us in creating new opportunities through creative therapy and participation at Coda.

So, for now, it's important for our hArt programme users in Hythe, Fordingbridge, New Milton and Pennington, as well as everyone involved in adult or child 1-2-1 Art Therapy and our one-off programmes to know that nothing is changing.

Karen and Rachael will still be welcoming you all when you turn up at our Creative Wellbeing programmes.

We'll still be running our higher needs 'Arts on Prescription' programmes (As and when we have the funding to do so)

Full details of our services (and how to contact Coda) can now be found on the Coda website, link above.

For mental health professionals: Please send all referral forms and any enquiries to Martin on: martin@coda.org.uk

This merger heralds an exciting time for the development of Coda.

Thank you to all of you that have supported hArt over the years and we hope to continue working and collaborating with you all in the future, but this time as Coda Music and Arts Trust!
